Annual Market Day

The Whangamata Summer Festival hosts our Annual Markets in Williamson Park, Whangamata* with live entertainment all day!

With the Annual Craft Market having run for over twenty years, it is safe to say this market is the largest in the region!

This year, we are extending a selection of food stalls out til 9pm! This means you can flag the leftover Xmas ham, and get on down for some tasty market style kai for the second night in a row! (Twilight Market Dec. 27 4 - 9pm!)

The market has a huge range of stalls with everything from clothing, hats, shoes, sunnies, tools, arts & crafts & food stalls to plants, bee products, fruit & vegetables.

Featuring kids rides and slides, live music from local artists and lots of stall demonstrations.
BYO shopping bags!

Proceeds raised from market donations fund local youth projects as well as two free community concerts - this year the venue for the free concerts will be at the Whangamata RSA:

New Year's Day Opera from 7:30pm Jan. 1st 2020; Bringing Country to the Beach from 5pm Jan. 2nd 2020. The RSA has obtained a Special Club Licence meaning entry is free for all - you do not have to be a member.
