The French Pass community will be holding ceremonies to bless and dedicate the recently completed Memorial to the Fallen. This ceremony will be held rain or shine and everyone is welcome.
The schedule of events is as follows:
- Before first light (starting 5:45am: Hura Kōwhatu (Dawn Blessing)
- Light breakfast served at French Pass Memorial Hall
- 10:30am to 11:30am: Dedication and ANZAC Service
- 11:30am to 12:30pm: Light lunch served at French Pass Hall
For the early morning Blessing it is important to respect the need for darkness and therefore anyone attending is asked to arrive well before 5:45am so that all traffic has ceased at commencement.
