Littlestone

Littlestone proudly presents Hawke’s Bay’s own folk singer-songwriter Arahi live from Haumoana Hall.

A mainstay on the local circuit for the past 6 years, Arahi brings together a new band for this ‘one night only’ spectacle of folk-rock in it’s newest expression. Joined by a lineup of Hawkes Bay’s finest musicians, the show offers itself as an exciting display of sight and sound where film, music, culture and expression come together.

"The Space Between Us" attempts to explain the "no-man's land" that lies between lovers and the loved, the native and the foreign, the speaker and the listener, the audience and the performer. Alone - both can exist but faced with each other they can thrive; and in the space between them sits creation. The songs written echo these sentiments, with characters, places and times that form wondrous stories and epics.

Arahi began his career as a working musician at the age of 15 and left school at 17 to pursue it full time. Last year saw the release of his first single “The Purpose of this Man” in addition to completing a tour of the North Island with his band and original folk songs in tow. At only 20 years of age Arahi as been described “as a man out of time, a young Dylan” – The Hook, NZ.

Armed with all new songs written specifically for this one-time experience, this is Arahi’s final show for the foreseeable future.

Band featuring:
Anton Wuts - keys & saxophone
Matiu Whiting - bass
Joe Dobson - drums
Nick Castles - guitar & backing voals
Eilish Rose - backing vocals
