A day in the life of an Auckland Council Archaeologist: with a panel of Council archaeologists for Archaeology Week.

Archaeologists in Auckland Council's Heritage Unit work hard to protect and preserve Tāmaki Makaurau's heritage. While the work they do achieves good heritage outcomes for Tāmaki Makaurau, it is also extremely varied.

Join this panel discussion, as part of the New Zealand Archaeological Association's Archaeology Week, to learn more about the work they do.

Booking not essential, but to ensure your place please phone Research Central on 09 890 2412 or book online: https://www.aucklandlibraries.govt.nz/pages/event.aspx?EventId=6526

About HeritageTalks
Are you interested in family and local history; the historical stories of New Zealand, the Pacific, and beyond?

Then why not come along to one of our HeritageTalks - Waha pū-taonga and hear more about both our personal and our shared heritage? Experts in specialised fields deliver these talks and provide insight into our histories.

HeritageTalks take place at least fortnightly, in the Whare Wānanga, Level 2, Central City Library unless otherwise stated. Booking is recommended although not essential.

Check out Below and Beyond Myers Park, another Archaeology Week HeritageTalk happening at 1.30pm on the same day.
