Auckland Heritage Festival: Heavy Metal in the City

Come along to St Matthew-in-the-City to learn about the:
- heavy metal suspended above the city
- incredible journey the bells went on
- people who have traveled far and wide to be able to ring them.

We will have regular bellringing performances and tours of the belfry.

Enter church through main doors on Hobson Street. Tours of the belltower will require climbing 54 spiral steps.

Visitors to the bell chamber must wear person protection equipment, which will be provided to you.
