Join Hugh Dickey and enjoy an interactive visualised presentation including fascinating facts about the growth (or otherwise) of our towns and cities, including a focus on Auckland.
Misconceptions and historical myths are dealt with, as well as current trends and possible future changes. Based on extensive new research.
Hugh Dickey has been interested in population studies and demographic research since his teenage years. As a sideline to his teaching and curriculum writing career, he has also authored other research books, and in 2017 “The Growth of New Zealand Towns”, describing the development of 64 of our towns from their earliest years.
