The Auckland Youth Orchestra, conducted by Antun Poljanich, presents:

Li Huanzhi: Chinese Spring Festival Overture
Chen & He: Butterfly Lovers Concerto (Soloist: Gloria Tian)
Schumann: Symphony No.1 (Spring)

Soaring melodies and exciting rhythms will all be brought to life with fabulous youthful energy! Hear Gloria Tian (studying performance violin at the University of Auckland and an 'Outstanding Performer' of the 2018 AYO Soloist Competition) perform a beautiful violin concerto rarely heard in NZ. Schumann's ever-popular Spring Symphony will delight.

AYO is a full symphony orchestra comprised of 75 of Auckland's most talented young musicians (ages 14-24). AYO toured to Germany and Slovenia last year, receiving standing ovations from capacity audiences at their six performances - don't miss this experience!

Door sales available.

AYO is coming to Orewa again on Saturday, 21 September, 7.30pm. Buy a Double Deal ticket for both concerts and save!
The exciting programme will include 'Don Juan' by Richard Strauss and Rachmaninov's famous Piano Concerto No.2, with Kent Isomura performing as a soloist.
