It is 250 years since naturalists Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander accompanied Captain James Cook to New Zealand. They were fascinated by New Zealand's plants and made the first herbarium collection.
Ewen Cameron, Curator of Botany at Auckland Museum will discuss his extensive research into Banks and Solander’s NZ collections which are the first descriptions, illustrations and scientific collections of the New Zealand Flora.
