About the teachers:

James discovered improv in 2013, and soon fell in love with both the art form and the comedy. He trained with the Improv Conspiracy Melbourne, taking the stage to perform in cage matches with his team Black Xanadu. Upon returning to NZ, James met local Improviser/teacher extraordinaire Clare Kerrison, and co-founded BaseJump Improv to bring this exciting style of improv comedy to Wellington, where he is currently a teacher, coach, performer and producer. In his spare time you'll find him in the kitchen toiling over a mean spag bol, or dabbling with the world of sketch comedy.

Cailin started improvising in 2014 with Monkey Toast in London. She first started as a way to get over her shyness, but immediately fell in love with it, joining a number of Harold and Armando teams, before performing with her team Geraldine at the Edinburgh festival in 2017. She loves dry humour, can keep a straight face for days and believes great improv comedy comes from specificity, like when your character loves guacamole, but hates avocado!
