Do you feel like you're not getting the most out of your camera? Do your eyes glaze over when you look at the various settings and dials? Do you wish you could control things like depth of field and motion blur? This is the course for you!

The Beginners workshop will have you up to speed on the basics of how your camera works, and more importantly, how you can take control of your camera to get the pictures you want.

This is a non-intimidating, fun and practical workshop where you will learn how to get the best out of your camera.

Topics discussed during the workshop:
- How your camera sees the world
- The limitations of auto mode and why you should take more control
- When and how to use shutter priority mode for blurring or freezing motion
- When and how to use aperture priority mode to control depth of field
- When and how to use manual mode (and the benefits of auto-ISO)
- What the various metering modes mean
- How lens choice can change your pictures
- Other camera settings such as RAW vs jpeg, shooting modes, focus modes, white balance.
