Sunday, July 7th sees 7 Taranaki musicians deliver an exciting mix of jazz in distinctively different styles. The Blue Sky Project led by bassist Shane Herbert comprises multi instrumentalist Sarah Foreman, playing key board, Karl Browne tenor saxophone, and Lance Matthews guitar. They promise an hour of jazz standards with a "bossa nova bias."
The Mike Gordon Trio led by vocalist Mike Gordon features Mikes beautifully pitched voice - a la Johnny Mathis superbly backed by David Lilley on keyboard and Robert Greenfield bass. Mike is a lover of popular jazz ballads and love songs which he and his 2 well known instrumentalists deliver authentically.
