Comedy meets bingo for a truly unique interactive entertainment experience.

Ian Loughran (UK) was a finalist at the Australian ‘Quest for the Best’ Comedy competition, he is a seasoned festival performer and has been award nominated 3 times in New Zealand and was an award winner in Australia and the UK. He has performed sellout shows in Australia, the UK and New Zealand. Ian is also an actor and once had his head blown off in a Zombie movie, he wears other hats as a writer and poet but mostly keeps his head with those activities.

Aaron Davies (UK) has performed in 4 countries and is still welcome in 3 of them. A specialist improviser and MC, truly anything can happen. Frankly he's not even sure himself, performing in a blur of quick-fire improvisation that even he can't remember. He engages with the audience and makes them forget it's even a show. Both comics were immersed in a rich Bingo (Housie) history, with Aaron’s family being involved in the Bingo business in Wales and Ian’s family being staunch Bingo attendees through the generations. Ian once won a yellow carpet on prize Bingo, and $16 dollars for a line.

They bring this intimate knowledge and love of the game into their festival show. They have created two iconic characters in Diamond Dez and Frank, Bingo callers come retro seaside MC/performers, these characters will live long in the memory. The show is based on a parody game of Bingo with the audience playing the game with the help and more often the hindrances of the two hosts. It’s truly a bonkers experience not to be forgotten. Gaming law and a low budget mean there will be no prizes apart from none monetary accolades that are worth their weight in ‘gold’.

There will be a bucket load of laughs and a bucket load of bingo balls a fun time is guaranteed. There will be many surprises on the night none of which we can outline here due the strict rules around the concept of the surprise. This is nostalgia for an age gone by but it’s also a new and novel experience. Two experienced comic brains creating a show to debut at the Dunedin Fringe Festival. Go on give it a go, we very dare you!
