Book Launch: The Time of Your Life by Tanya Batt

Join renowned and internationally heralded storyteller Tanya Batt as she brings her new book, The Time of Your Life, at the Waiheke Community Library, in Oneroa. The story of The Time of Your Life revolves around Ben, and his two wishes: that he has more time and that he is a little taller. People are always running out of time, are short of time and don’t have time to spare. As if hearing is wishes, his godmother sends him a new watch for his birthday and Ben is excited to think that now he has some time all of his own.

While examining his new/old pocket watch, he notices a small button on its back, which transports him to meet Father Time. He explains to Ben the nature of time, telling him that some people like to live in the past with their memories, and some people like to live in the future, eagerly imagining what lies ahead. But the best gift you can give someone is your time and attention, now – that is why it is called the present.
