Cambridge host Auckland's Glenfield Rovers in this first round tie of New Zealand football's oldest cup competition (it's been held since 1923).

Cambridge play in the Lotto NRFL second division, two tiers below Premier League outfit Glenfield Rovers.

In recent seasons, Cambridge have gone close to upsetting big Auckland teams including Birkenhead United (current holders), Forrest Hill Milford, Western Springs, Three Kings United and Central United.

Despite their efforts, Cambridge have yet to progress beyond the cup's third round (which they have reached a dozen times in their history).
