Celtic family concert featuring three outstanding artists from Scotland:
This year our guests include Adam Sutherland, from Errogie on the shores of Loch Ness. Not only is Adam a fabulous player and member of super band "Session A9", but he is also a wonderful composer. In fact just over a year ago he won the "Composer of the Year" award at the Scots Trad Music Awards! Adam is in huge demand as a teacher and performer all over the world.
Adam is joined by Maggie Adamson, one of Shetland's best - and youngest - performers. Maggie has won the Glenfiddich Scottish fiddle competition (known as the championship of champions), released at least 4 solo CDs, performed in front of thousands at Celtic Connections… and in her free time she has competed in yaching on Team Scotland!
Our final teacher is the incomparable Sandy Brechin. Talented, funny, larger than life, spontaneous… Sandy is all these things and more. His flying fingers have to be seen to be believed. He has performed and recorded with artists all over Scotland, taught at Celtic Connections and rocked the castle at Edinburgh's annual Hogmanay ceilidh in the Princes Street Gardens.
