Ceramics for Supper is a one-night event in Wellington, a celebration of the work of Aotearoa ceramicists, good company and good food. It is a communal vegetarian dinner designed by Wellington local chef Robertta Young, using local, seasonal ingredients.
The concept is simple: choose a ceramic bowl/plate on arrival, enjoy a meal served in it, and take it home with you at the end of the night. All proceeds after costs go to support the work of New Zealand Women’s Refuge.
Organised in Wellington by three friends, Abby Cunnane, Carmel Rowden and Heather Hayward, the original idea comes from Helen Levi’s New York-based #pottersinprotest events.
Ceramics for Supper is a not for profit event. Each of the bowls/plates and the chef’s time have been generously donated in tautoko of Women’s Refuge.
Ceramics for Supper is supported by the following: Six Barrel Soda, Garage Project Beer, Flowers Manuela, Arch Hire, Duck Island Ice Cream, Luna Estate Winery.
