Artz On Show run school holiday Performing Art Workshops to educate young students in all facets of the arts while helping to build confidence and self-esteem.

Each workshop is centred around a theme, with the July Workshop being based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Workshops inspire creative choices in music and script, offering a variety of Performing Arts classes with students working towards performing in a final showcase.

Artz on Show was established in 2003 and have operated Performing Arts Workshops in Auckland on the North Shore, East Auckland and in the Central Business District for the last 16 years. We opened our Hamilton Workshop in 2009, and we have just opened in Franklin in 2019. We have an 80% repeat rate and some of our students attending have been with us for 5 - 6 years. At our Workshops, our ratio of girls to boys is 60:40.

The Workshops are for children aged 5 - 15 years. There is a maximum of 20 children per group, and they are grouped in their aged years. There is 1 tutor per group, plus a Workshop Manager and also admin staff.

Each day they rotate through 6 disciplines - for example - on Monday the Orange (5 year olds) group's timetable may be: jazz, drama, morning tea, art, vocals, lunch, hip hop, theatre arts, group time. Each discipline is 45 minutes long. Every class is tailored to the age group that is being taught. We have a mix of tutors on board. We have primary school teachers, dance school teachers, vocals coaches and drama teachers. We also have tutors working towards qualifying in their chosen career path.

The times are 9 am – 4 pm daily. Drop off is from 8.30am. From 3.45pm, parents can arrive and observe group time. This is where the students congregate and show their peers what they've learnt during the day. It’s also valuable practice time, as the students put a show on at the end of the week for their parents and families.

The cost is $75.00 per day or our full weekly fee is $350.00.
