Local Napier artist Cherrille Ede is emerging from a quieter period of artwork.
She employs colour and her active imagination to provide her with a solid platform for her work. This creates a crossover between figurative and abstract painting. She feels a strong connection to the beauty of nature and the vibration of happy uplifting colour.
Painting brings her joy, happiness and the interaction between reality and imagination.
Cherrille receives great pleasure from converting what she sees with her eyes and painting it onto canvas, but also planning and completing her abstract work. Travel has also helped open her eyes to magnificent scenery, which has been inspirational for her progression and motivation to paint.
Join Cherrille to celebrate the opening of her exhibition on Friday 20 September, 5-7pm. Light refreshments will be served.
