Children's Day

This year is all about putting tamariki first, and what better way to celebrate than a free Children’s Day event at Te Rauparaha Park.

It’s going to be a great day for the whole whānau.
Bring along a picnic or some kai to enjoy while watching an outdoor movie in the park. There’ll be kids’ activities, crafts and outdoor water-based fun.

What’s happening?

11am-12:30pm:

1pm-3pm:
Free outdoor movie – bring a picnic!

The Aquatic Centre will have free entry for kids (15 years and under) from 11am til 1pm too!

There’ll be more about the day closer to the time – keep an eye on our website and Facebook pages!

Kids’ Market opportunity – for those aged 12 & under.

A wonderful opportunity for enterprising tamariki who will have the opportunity to sell their own home-made arts, crafts, and even some home-made baking! For $10, each child will get their own stall and will manage their sales. Stallholders must be 12 years old or under, so an adult helper will be required.

Kids’ Market applications close Friday 22 February unless the stalls have all been allocated before that.
