Out of respect for those affected by the recent tragic events the decision was made to postpone our 5 year anniversary concert for two weeks. It will now be on the 31st March and will start at 1:30 so we can have a short break in the middle and still end at 3pm.
5 years ago, a group of musicians banded together in a small garage, with a vision to create great music with a great group of people. 5 years later, that group has grown into the Nor'west brass band!
With over 80 musicians performing in over 5 different groups, Nor'west brass has become a leading organisation for brass education in Christchurch, headed by the premier Nor'west brass band.
Join our premier band in concert to hear some fantastic music played by our fantastic set of musicians. You will hear a selection of music that has been most influential in the history of the Nor'west brass band. This will culminate in a performance of major work, Christchurch Alive! written by Christchurch composer Dale Vail for the Nor'west Brass Band in 2018.
We cannot wait to share our band's outstanding enthusiasm and love of music with you in a concert full of our favourite pieces.
