This intimate walking tour is a chance to learn about the innovative ways our cultural heritage and identity is being embedded and celebrated in Christchurch's CBD through art, landscaping, language and design.
Led by Joseph Hullen (Ngāi Tūāhuriri/Ngāti Hinematua) and the Matapopore team, the two-hour tour will 'stop-off' at many of the anchor projects' most exciting indigenous components, including: Margaret Mahy Park, Turanga and Te Ara Pū Ha.
Weaving Ngāi Tahu and Ngāi Tūāhuriri narratives and aspirations into the fabric of post-quake Christchurch is the driving mission of The Matapopore Charitable Trust.
Please note: This tour has limited spaces, so if you're passionate about seeing indigenous values expressed in our central city and would like a few fun facts to throw at the whānau, book your spot today!
