The Christchurch Mosaic Art Group has been running as a growing group of enthusiastic mosaic artists for over three years. Our main aim is to promote mosaics as a genuine art form throughout Christchurch and New Zealand.

For the third year running, over 20 mosaic artists from Christchurch and around the South Island are coming together again to present their art and craft in 'Media Freedom' to Eastside Gallery, 388 Worcester Street, Christchurch. Included are various creations in the form of pictures, mirrors, and the decorative crafts.

'Media Freedom' is the very definition of mosaics, and places no limits to the materials that a mosaic artist can use. Opulent stained glass, fine china, rich natural stone, and even beads of many shapes and colours are just some of the many elements used.

Many pieces will be available for purchase.

Opening Event: Monday 21st October 5.30-7pm.
Gallery Opening Hours: Monday-Saturday 11am-4pm.
Closed for Labour Weekend: 26th-28th October.
