Award winning Kiwi Mixologist takes Christmas Cocktails to Ponsonby Road.

The festive spirit has well and truly arrived in Ponsonby with the opening of the Christmas-themed cocktail pop up ‘Christmas at Clipper’.

For the month of December, cocktail bar Clipper will be indulging in everything Christmas, with a special menu of yuletide cocktails created by one of New Zealand’s best mixologists Barney Toy.

The ‘Mince Pie Old Fashioned’ with aged Bacardi rum and rich sherry is full of Christmas cheer, while the decadent ‘Kiwi Kristmas Nog’ marries the traditional egg nog with the flavours of the Kiwi favourite pavlova. And there will be a countdown to Christmas with daily cocktail specials from the ‘Advent Calendar of Cocktails’.

‘Christmas at Clipper’ is the perfect place to relax and unwind after the stresses of Christmas shopping or after visiting the famous Franklin Road lights, conveniently located just around the corner. The bar will be decked out in all things merry and bright, so put on your favourite festive sweater and come rock around the Christmas tree to our epic seasonal playlist.

Whether you are planning a Christmas celebration that is naughty or nice, or a little of both, ‘Christmas at Clipper’ can cater to all tastes, there will also be a selection of non-alcoholic options for those feeling merry enough already.

Christmas at Clipper is open Tuesday to Sunday from 5pm, until Dec 31 (excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day) Reservations are recommended, email hello@clipperbar.co.nz to avoid disappointment.
