Late into the Spring evenings (and sometimes during the afternoons) Elves in Te Kowhai have been transforming St Mark’s Church Hall (across the road from Te Kowhai School) into a Christmas Grotto. The grotto is a celebration of Christmas today and also a walk-through of the first Christmas and nativity. It’s a fun and friendly way to learn about and remember how and why Christmas came about.
What can we expect?
We can’t let you in on all the secrets yet but we can tell you that once you’ve pushed through the pine trees and marveled at the miniature wonderland, you’ll discover the story of Christmas. Take a walk with Mary and Joseph, hark the Herald Angels and before you go, make sure you capture the memory with some dress ups and a photo at the selfie station.
