Talented Wellington-based vocalist and saxophonist debut at CJC, presenting one set each with Kevin Field, Cam McArthur & Adam Tobeck.

Ella Dunbar Wilcox
Ella Dunbar-Wilcox was born in Christchurch and is in her third year of studies at the New Zealand School of Music. Ella was the vocalist for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra in 2015 and 2016 and the New Zealand School of Music Big Band in 2017 and 2018. During her programme, she will present original material and pay tribute to composers and performers such as John Coltrane, Cecile McLorin Salvante and Betty Carter. She will be singing with Kevin Field, Oliver Holland and Ron Samson.

Frank Talbot
Originally hailing from Devonport, Frank Talbot has recently graduated from the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington where he is currently studying towards his honours degree. Frank has been busy in both the Jazz and Classical fields, playing lead alto and lead tenor with the NZSM Big Band One as well as on several occasions with the acclaimed Rodger Fox Big Band, and travelling to Eastern Europe to play lead alto with the JM Jazz World Orchestra, lead by Luis Bonilla, where he will be going again this July.
