Internationally renowned sitar player Purbayan Chatterjee revisits NZ with his own unique style, this time collaborating with Auckland indo-jazz fusion group Takadimi.
Purbayan Chatterjee has performed as a solo artist and as a part of the groups Shastriya Syndicate and Stringstruck, performing the world over like Roskilde Festival, Denmark, OzAsia Festival, Australia, Traumzeit Festival, Germany etc.
Purbayan's previous concert in Auckland was a huge success and this time he is collaborating with local Indo-Jazz and world music band Takadimi, led by tabla maestro Manjit Singh and local jazz musos including keys wizard Alan Brown.
