The Clevedon Art Trail annual Open Studio Weekend Event returns for its third year on Auckland’s anniversary weekend 2019.

There is an exciting programme planned with new artists in the area opening their doors and free workshops and activities for all.

Many artist’s are involved; Katie Blundell Artist in her established gallery + studio on North Road. Art Industry and their stable of 25 artist’s including locals: renown sculptor James Wright, Bill MacCormick, Becca Bolscher, Sarah Walker-Holt and Cheryl Wright.

Left Field – an artist initiative made up of 11 artists including Jo Raill, Belinda Griffith, Toni Mosley Matthew Deyo and Melanie Arnold who will collaborate together for an exhibition and demonstrations. The well known Matthew Vallings at Woodzone. Helen Dorresteyn (new to the trail) will open her home studio. Bruce Stuart from Lost Arts draws you in to the art of knife making and more artists venues listed on our website.

There is a varied jam packed programme over three days, full of art happenings including exhibitions, free interactive workshops in various mediums and artist talks.

This is an opportunity to spend time exploring Clevedon’s unique vibrant country village and while you are enjoying the self-drive Art Trail, take in some of Clevedon’s well known food experiences

Why not think about making a weekend of it and stay in the area! The famous Clevedon Farmer’s Market is Sunday 8.30am-1pm and there are some fabulous regional parks in the area for great walks. Duder & Waitawa. Both of these are on the regional parks Artist Residency schedule.
