Walk or Run your way around the 1, 3 or 5 km course and become your own unique colour creation. This fun event is brought to you by Girl Guiding NZ, Multicultural Nelson Tasman and Scouts NZ.

Wear a white or black t-shirt to get the full effect! The course is family-friendly and great for kids.

Registrations are at 1pm and at 1:15pm there is a warm up for all competitors. At 1:25pm the fun begins, our fire truck will spray runners and walkers with a light mist, this is to help the coloured paint powder stick. Work your way around the track at your own pace and be prepared to be showered with non-toxic paint powder along the way.

Afterwards the fun doesn't stop. There will be:
- Multicultural games
- Dance performances
- Live music
- Yummy ethnic food & drink stalls
- Individual coloured paint powder sachets can be purchased to throw at your friends and family
- And there is a chance to win a spot prize

*Tickets are $6 per person plus booking fee.

Register today, there is a cap on entries and you don't want to miss out on the fun.

FAQs:
- What should I bring into the event?
Wear black or white to get the full effect of the colour. Make sure you bring a drink bottle and sunscreen and hat as it will be a sunny day of course!

- How does the course work?
Each lap is 1 km, so
1 lap = 1 km
3 laps = 3 km
5 laps = 5 km

There will be two lanes, the outer lane is for running (or walking) and the inner lane is the colour lane. You only go around the colour lane once, on your last lap. Our marshals will help you.

In the colour lane, there are five colour stations where our friendly volunteers will throw coloured paint powder as you run past.

In the outer lane there will also be an obstacle area, this is optional, you can choose to tackle the obstacles or simply run past them.

Here's a map that shows roughly what things will look like on the day
- Do I need to be a pro runner to enter?
No, with 1, 3 or 5 km options you can skip, run, walk or crawl your way around the course at your own pace.

- Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No, everyone is welcome

- Can I bring my pet?
We'd prefer if you didn't bring your pets to the colour craze and they'd probably prefer not become a colour creation too!

- Is the colour powder safe?
Yes, it is non-toxic and biodegradable.

- Will the colour ruin clothes or running shoes?
The colour does mostly wash out after the event. As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it the better. We suggest wearing items that you wouldn’t mind getting colorful, and making sure to wash your colour craze items separately from your other laundry.

- How does the colour affect the inside of cars?
Most people bring some towels for the insides of their cars, or a change of clothes just in case.

- Is the Color Craze timed?
The Colour Craze is not a timed event. Runners tend to take their sweet time out there and no one really cares about their speed. We suggest self-timing for anyone desiring a finish time.

- How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Email emmareeves12@hotmail.com

- Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You can bring your ticket or save a tree and just show one of our friendly rego team the copy on your phone

- Can I update my registration information?
Yes

- Are there refunds?
If an event is held as advertised, we cannot issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible. Just make sure you are good to go before signing up.

- What happens if there is bad weather?
A little rain won’t stop us! It even makes the colour brighter! If there are major weather warnings during the weekend of the event, check for emails with updates.

See you!
