This session is a wake up call, and a look into the future of your relationship with your kids. I call it the “Avoidability Spell’.
It’s about being fully aware of the point of entry/point of impact in communication issues.
So a mother dealing with a 16 year old son in 2019 who doesn’t even collect his own clothes or put a cup in the dishwasher that he’s used may be in my class to see how to deal with that without losing or alienating the son. When I ask her to go back in time, she would usually go back up to 10 years to when this pattern of behaviour was encouraged, accepted, invited in and condoned.
This session is simple – you reap what you sow. If you are sowing it now, you will be reaping it for years to come and way beyond the point when they live with you.
Most parents only think about getting through the 16-18 years they live at home. You actually build and set the scene for the relationship you will have for the next 40-50 years during that time!
