Adults Only

We are living in Christchurch, and let's face it - a lot has happened. We feel it, and our children certainly feel it. We, as adults, may 'know' how to hide how we are feeling / coping with a quick smile and a change of conversation but let's not encourage our children to do the same.

You may have already noticed the affects that recent events are having on children and have felt helpless when it comes to knowing what to do to offer a different experience. It hurts to see children struggling with their emotions and takes its toll on those around. Let's explore ways for them to address their emotions and feelings in a safe way.

Let's get together and start a community conversation for parents, caregivers and teachers addressing stress, trauma and anxiety in children. Let's discuss what's been happening and look at options to help. We will learn an easy to use stress and trauma relief tool that has been used worldwide and is scientifically proven to help calm the physiology of the body as well as release emotions. You will leave feeling empowered with the knowledge of how to dis-engage the 'fight or flight' experience when it presents in yourself or others.

About Your Facilitator:
Lynska has been a facilitator of mental health awareness programmes and non-technical skills, such as stress and fatigue management, leadership and teamwork, situational awareness and workload management, within the airline industry for the last 5 years. This high pressure, dynamic and high stress environment lead her to find powerful tools to help herself and then assist others in reducing their stress levels and ultimately living a more positive and impactful life. As an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Practitioner she now recognises the need to reach out and support parents and children who may be experiencing similar affects.
