Auckland Council, the Department of Conservation, and Vector Lights are lighting up the harbour for 50 years of Conservation Week!
Conservation Illumination is a Vector Lights light show, running each evening from 14 September to 22 September on the Auckland Harbour Bridge in celebration of conservation and our natural environment.
Conservation Illumination is part of Conservation Week, the national celebration that encourages people to get involved in nature and help take care of it. This year we are celebrating 50 years of Conservation Week and the Department of Conservation is excited to be partnering with Auckland Council and Vector Lights to showcase the diverse plants and animals special to Tāmaki Makaurau.
The light shows and accompanying soundtrack celebrates conservation in New Zealand and connects to Conservation Week’s 50th birthday and Auckland’s Pest Free Auckland 2050 programme.
Find a spot around the harbour during the evening from 6:30pm and enjoy the show! Each light show runs for around 5 minutes.
Vector Lights is part of a smart energy partnership between Vector and Auckland Council in collaboration with the NZ Transport Agency, the guiding light toward a smart energy future. For more information, and to listen to the soundtrack, visit www.vector.co.nz/lights
