The 50th Annual Conservation Week is here! This year we’re keen to get out and help Wild Aro make Aro Valley predator-free, and we’d like your help.
On the first day of Conservation Week (14/09) we’ll be down at Aro Park in Aro Valley with a bunch of Goodnature A24 Rat & Stoat traps to set across the valley. By controlling the rat population, we’ll help native birds flourish in Aro backyards.
We’ll be laying over a dozen traps up in Aro Park, Devon Street Gully and Tanera Park. Please join us for a barbeque and a few Garage Project beers to giveaway in the park afterwards.
We’ll be:
Sharing the great work of Wild Aro,
Running A24 Rat & Stoat trap demonstrations,
Showcasing Goodnature’s latest innovation, Chirp,
Having a jolly good rat trapping time,
Providing trapping tips and tricks, and
Helping to spread awareness of the impact of rats on our native bird species.
What to bring?
Yourself for starters! And your friends, and your mum, and your uncle, whoever you’d like to join,
Comfy shoes - we’ll be trekking around the valley so stay comfy!
Warm clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty,
Water - stay hydrated, and
Snacks.
