Creating Inner Space Through Meditation. Half day course with Gen Kelsang Demo.

Learn how to use meditation to help let go of distracting thoughts and introduce more space into your life. When someone asks: "How are you?", apart from the ubiquitous "fine!", the next most common answer seems to be "busy".

Everybody seems to be busy.
Often it seems as if there is an almost constant chatter of uncontrolled thoughts, feelings, worries, emotions going on in the background as we cope with the external demands of our very busy lives. It can be difficult to find any sense of peace and clarity.

Meditation, can be a really effective way of helping us slow down and even stop distracting thoughts: and when 'the turbulence of our mental busyness subside and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally arise from within.'

"…gradually our distracting thoughts will subside and we will experience a sense of inner peace and relaxation. Our mind will feel lucid and spacious and we will feel refreshed. When the sea is rough, sediment is churned up and the water becomes murky, but when the wind dies down the mud gradually settles and the water becomes clear. In a similar way, when the otherwise incessant flow of our distracting thoughts is calmed... our mind becomes unusually lucid and clear."

In this half-day course, Gen Kelsang Demo will introduce meditations that help us let go of our distracting thoughts and begin to discover our potential for peace and clarity, so that we are able to create the space we need to deal with the demands and problems of life more calmly and constructively.
