Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland.
Saturday and Sunday 17 - 18 August 2019. This course is running as part of our annual A Writer's Weekend programme.
This course will cover the tools writers use to write fiction, in either long or short form. We will begin by developing a character to be central to a piece of fiction. From there we will go on to workshop story, tone and setting. We will also examine the use of point of view, structure and voice. By the end of the weekend participants should be well on the way to possessing the necessary tools to write a compelling short story or novel
You are invited to attend our opening address at 9am on Saturday 17 August. Carole Beu from the Womens Bookshop will fire up the day with an early morning talk on her raves and faves. Have a cuppa, listen to Carol and meet others.
Our Mission: To provide quality adult and lifelong learning opportunities which empower individuals in their personal lives and as members of society.
