Blowout Comedy

Dan Brader is one of the most unique voices in NZ comedy.

He's a true Kiwi comedy maverick that you certainly won't confuse for anyone else in the NZ comedy circuit. He's got a loose, free flowing storytelling style that revels in the most embarrassing, weird, and nakedly honest parts of his life as well as a penchant for tight, biting gags that don't pull any punches.

A comedy veteran, Dan has been doing comedy since 2007 all over NZ and Australia. He's performed in festivals such as Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival, Perth Fringe World, Hamilton Fringe Festival, Palmy North Fringe Festival, Christchurch Comedy Carnival and Dunedin Fringe Festival and in comedy clubs throughout Australia and NZ as well as two nationwide solo tours of NZ in 2014 and 2018.

He's coming to Dunedin Fringe again this year but here's your chance to see him and his latest hour of biting, cynical gags and wild storytelling early and for the low price of just $5. He will also be joined by two awesome local opening acts.

"Known for his morally-questionable storytelling, Dan has a way of making your own wild stories seem tame by comparison" - Busselton Mail

"He walks his own line and drags the laughs out of it with a sharp shake." - Gagging For It

"Brader is a comic you will love or hate, but he's never dull."- New Zealand Theatre Review.

"Brader's unique comedic style set him apart." - The Southland Times

"In a comedy world that can be a bit ‘same-y’, Dan Brader dares to be different" - ARTSHUB

"Clearly the most experienced, Brader breezed through with a bunch of sharp, cynical and biting gags on a variety of topics." - The Southland Times

"What the man definitely has talent for is, unashamedly brutal character impersonations" - ARTSHUB
