Join us for fun and fitness with the lights turned off every Monday from 8 - 9pm at Birkdale Hall!
Dancing In the Dark - Birkdale is a weekly freestyle community dance event open to all. We black out Birkdale Hall (136 Birkdale Road) and once everyone is in and in position, we turn out the lights and dance to a one hour playlist of music mixing genres, styles and eras. Pop, dance, disco, rock, R&B, hip-hop, indie, world music... whatever gets us moving. We also take playlist requests via Facebook, so you can hear your favourite tune on the night you come along.
You don't need to have any experience, and you can set your own pace and dance how you like - plus sing, clap, stomp, or don't - it's up to you. Bring a friend or come by yourself - we live and work locally and love meeting others from our neighbourhood. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring a water bottle.
Cash at the door: $5 adults. $3 students/seniors.
