Decorate your own fruit cake ready for Christmas.
Class includes marzipan and white finish along with a Christmas figurine that you can decorate however you like e.g. Santa, angel etc.
Please bring:
1 x 8' (20cm) fruit cake approx 4' high
1 x rolling pin - clean
Apron
Box/container for your finished cake to take home
Small paint brush or 2
Pastry brush
Palette knife
Paring knife, not serrated
We will provide:
Marzipan & white icing
Sugar syrup & ganache
1 x cake board for your finished cake
1 x figurine for you to decorate how you like. e.g. Santa, snowman, angel
Paints and coloured fondant
Skewers
Cutters and molds as needed e.g. holly leaves
Smoothers
Ribbon if you would like it.
Refreshments and snacks (with bubbles on arrival for those over 18)
Basic notes
NOTE:
* Class will start right on time so please come a few minutes early. There will be plenty of parking available once the surrounding businesses close.
* As we are working in a fully operational commercial kitchen please wear closed shoes, hair must be tied up and there will be a brief safety chat and sign in.
* Not open to children under the age of 16
* Payment is required in full at the time of booking, with no refunds, however if your plans change you can send someone in your place.
* Group bookings may be available on request if you'd like to get your friends together. Dates are limited due to weddings and Christmas orders. Please email us at info@cakesofwanaka.co.nz. Groups must be a total of 6 people, times can be a little flexible to suit but please, no Sundays.
* Class sizes limited to 6 each night
