In this practical marketing four (4) week workshop series for two (2) hours per week, learn how to complete an effective trend, market, price and competitor analysis as well as define your target audience accurately.

Armed with this information, participants then determine the brand positioning, unique selling points, key messages and also how these messages change to tailor marketing for your target audience.

Finally, we then help you develop a concise one page business blueprint with a 12 month marketing strategy to focus your efforts as well as structure for a marketing communications plan that you will be able to use to guide your marketing and sales.

This small group format ensures impartiality, a focus on your business while allowing an inviting, collegial and supportive atmosphere to thoroughly canvas your specific marketing requirement.


- You will confidently reach your defined target audience through the right channels and in the right way

- Have a brand that is well positioned with unique selling points and messages that resonates

- You will be armed with a marketing plan that will be your focus for the next 12 months to deliver your overall business goals

Workshop One (1) Friday, 26 March 2019; 10:30am – 12:30pm (2 hours)

- Research; competitors, pricing, industry influences and messages

- Target market defining; primary and secondary targets and segmenting according to functions. For example, decision makers and influencers

- Define your goals, brand values, your strengths and weaknesses as well as your product features and benefits

Complete research and target market evaluation after first workshop; email preparation (homework) by Monday 1 April 10am for tutor to review (**crucial**).

Workshop Two (2) Tuesday, 2 April 2019; 10:30am – 12:30pm (2 hours)

- Based on the findings; develop market positioning, your product unique selling points and overarching brand messages

- This will align your offering to market opportunities

- For the target segments identifying the customer journey, triggers and wants

- Map and refine key messages to the customer journey of the various target audience segments

Post workshop preparation (homework) is to complete your customer segment table and matching to key messages.

Workshop Three (3) Monday, 8 April 2019; 10:30am – 12:30pm (2 hours)

- Learn about the channel; what they are good for, if they are suitable for your offering and target audience, how much effort is required and which channels to focus on base on your capabilities and resource

Examples of channels we will review include:

- Direct selling

- Digital including Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Google Adwords

- Public relations (PR) and press releases

- Social media such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and WeChat

- Print and billboard

- Any channels specifically relevant for your business and product

Post workshop preparation (homework) is to complete the target audience table and match them to the channels. Consolidate the channels and tweak the messages to create efficiencies.

Workshop Four (4) Monday, 15 April 2019; 10:30am – 12:30pm (2 hours)

- Create a 12 month marketing plan that will achieve your goals

- Create a one page blueprint that will be your business reference point

- Create the framework for a Communication plan (marketing calendar) that can be used for regular marketing implementation

Total Fee: NZ$1220.50 GST Inclusive (2 x NZ$610.25)

Payment Term:

We require 50% payment before engagement commences and 50% balance paid on completion by seven (7) day invoice, which we transfer to Marketing Minds.
