The Dog Point Classic Kiwi Picnic is a casual and relaxing day set among the vines and olives of Dog Point Vineyard.
Enjoy picnic fare created by Bradley Hornby & Liz Buttimore from Marlborough's Arbour Restaurant, superbly matched to Dog Point Vineyard wines.
From a single picnic table, it has now grown into an annual event with approximately 180 guests recreating the tradition of a "kiwi Picnic".
The emphasis is firmly on seasonal and local Marlborough produce including whitebait, smoked hapuka, surf clams and venison. Homemade gelato, cheeses and a coffee cart ensure no one is left wanting.
While loungers placed in the shade of the many surrounding trees offer a tempting place to rest and recover with the background sounds from Marlborough’s singer-songwriter, Sarah Brown.
This is a celebration of everything that makes the kiwi style of picnic unique and special.
The 2019 picnic will be held on Saturday 2nd March. Tickets are NZD$195pp and do sell out quickly.
All wine, food, entertainment and return bus travel ex Seymour Square in Blenheim is included in the ticket price.
Tickets go on sale 10am Monday November 26th and are strictly limited to 4 tickets per person.
