Dave Murphy - Blues Legend
Dave Murphy has been playing the blues since he was 15 but it was in Australia six years later that he developed an appreciation of early fingerstyle blues. He was influenced by blues musicians of a high calibre – John Hurt, Gary Davis, Big Bill Broonzy and Robert Johnson – but always retained his own individual style. A perfect partner with the Western Swing stylings of Don Burnham - Dave is sharing some new originals with us along with his usual brilliant mix.

He's spent most of his life behind guitars — singing and pickin’, from campfire circles and coffeehouses, to dance halls and concert stages. Guitarist and vocalist Don Burnham is best known to audiences as the bandleader of California’s Lost Weekend Western Swing Band (since 1985). Tonight you get to see him perform and entertain as just him - along with his Martin guitar and his wife, Sarah Dee.
Don and Sarah were the inaugural concert at the Fold - and we are completely thrilled to have them return with a different lineup but the same raconteuring rascaliness that you'd expect from experienced and clever performers.
