The Effective Directors Course is a sharply focused programme that delivers critical content in a condensed period of time. It is designed for busy directors who want to gain skills and knowledge but who cannot afford a full week out of the business.

The workshop is three days in duration, each day two weeks apart. You will be provided with a board pack and each session will include a mix of presentations, discussions, case studies and simulated board meetings.

On successful completion of the course you will receive the Governance New Zealand Effective Directors Certificate.

Armed with this, you will be well placed to address any challenges and opportunities arising from your directorships with new-found confidence and skill.

Who Should Attend:
This course is designed for:
- newly appointed directors in public, private, not-for-profit or charity sectors
- executives seeking director transition pathways
- directors wanting to refine their skills and knowledge
- those needing to better understand the role and responsibilities of a director

Course Structure
You will be provided with a board pack for a real-life company and its subsidiaries. Using this pack, you will review the governance and associated risks of the organisations, look beyond the financials, and learn how to recognise the right questions to ask.
