Effervescence is a jazz collaboration that brings you well-known jazz standards and original jazz compositions in fresh, sparkling and elegant interpretations.

Join Effervescence for an intimate afternoon of music featuring Niduk Wijetilleke’s sophisticated and stellar keyboard mastery and original compositions, Guy Halpe’s lyrical and sensitive bass work with the smooth and engaging vocal artistry of Mike Murane.

Niduk Wijetilleke on piano is a regular performer at One2One, and is a Berklee graduate recently returned to New Zealand. His spiritual and sophisticated approach to jazz makes him a much sought after performer.

Guy Halpe plays standard, fretless and upright basses. Guy’s background in violin and viola with orchestras overseas gives him a uniquely melodic and non-modal approach to bass playing.

Michael Murane on vocals is also a regular at One2One and has a polished and swinging vocal style that’s ideal for the standards made popular by Sinatra and Bennett. Mike also performs with the North Harbour Big Band and many other jazz lineups.
