Electric vehicles are becoming a part of everyday life.
For those who use and work around EV’s it has become important to understand and be confident to use and maintain an EV with health and safety in mind. This unique training is for EV owners, technicians, vehicle sales and insurance assessors.
- How to get the most efficiency out of an EV and the importance of driving wisely. The simple science and some misconceptions out there.
- What is actually going to happen when you run out of battery (HV battery flat). How to recover from this, and what options you have.
- What affects the SOH (state of health) of the battery and how the driver through simple instructions can increase the longevity of the battery.
- What to look for when purchasing an EV, and what is common fraud.
- What components of the EV actually drain the high voltage battery and what the driver can do to minimise this.
- We will be looking at tyre choice, aircon use, braking and acceleration behaviour, power steering and charge behaviour.
- We’ll look at professional maintenance on all maintenance sensitive items, such as aircon service, wheel alignment, oil changes in the transmission, brake maintenance, and LED lighting.
In our 3 hour training, the above and more will be covered. Manual and refreshments will be provided.
