Eleven and a half years... this is how long we have to make drastic change in order to limit extreme impacts of climate breakdown.
One point five... the amount of degrees we must keep global warming to if we wish to prevent ecological catastrophe.
Victoria University of Wellington THEA 307 students and director Megan Evans will present Eleven and A Half Years from Tuesday 28th May - Saturday 1st June in Studio 77 at 77 Fairlie Tce.
Eleven and A Half Years is a devised, slow-tempo meditation on the bleak world we may be headed for, inspired by traditional and contemporary performance elements from Japan and China. As three travellers band together for survival, they encounter world species fighting for their own survival, making the best of the plastic wasteland which is now their reality.
Is there hope in this desolate world? Join us as we perform slow steps for these fast times to find out.
Warning: This performance contains use of flashing lights.
