The Whaka100 proudly holds the reputation of one of the toughest mountain bike marathons in the southern hemisphere.

Challenge yourself on either the 100, 50, 25 or 10km course in the ​world famous trails of Rotorua.

1pm - 5:00pm - Whaka Shootout TT

8am - Whaka 100km Official Start waves (2.5 minute gaps)

Whaka100km:
Start Time - Sunday 8am
Taking on the Whaka100 is considered one of New Zealand’s toughest single day mountain bike event providing a true test of endurance. Those who have taken on the Whaka love the unique balance of amazing single track accompanied by the brutal 3800 metres of vertical climbing throughout the course. Push yourself beyond your limits, and chase dreams at becoming the whaka100 champion. ​

Whaka50km:
Start Time - Sunday, 9am
The New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty Whaka 50km is every bit of goodness that we can squeeze out of the Whaka 100km distance but without the crazy hill climbs, well there maybe be a hill or two. Come and ride New Zealand’s best single track right here in Rotorua.

Whaka25km:
Start Time - Sunday 9:25am
This event is for mountain bikers of all abilities and takes in the super fun trails of the world famous trails for Rotorua. The course is set a mixture of grade 2-3 trails with short climbs, flowing trails and a small about of logging roads set among some of the worlds best single track.

Womens 10km:
Start Time - 9:55am
Ladies of all abilities can participate in the 10km fun ride.The course is set for an event for ladies of all backgrounds that wish to enjoy an mountain biking with out the pressure of fast riders pushing through. This is you opportunity to ride in some of the world's best mountain bike trails with the girls.It doesn't matter if you are an experienced mountain biker or looking to try your first ever event. ​

Whaka Kids 5.5km:
Start Time - Sunday, 9:45am
​The Whaka kids event is a 5.5km mtb for 5 to 10 year old kids. Starting at the same start line as the main events, the course is set to provide an introduction to mountain biking events taking in some of Rotorua’s famous family friendly trail. We encourage parents to ride with their child.

Whaka TT Shootout:
The Rotorua Isuzu Shootout Time Trial is held on Saturday afternoon during registration pick up at 1pm - 4pm on event weekend. This is not just about the top rider, we encourage all riders to take part in this free event.
