Are you a Dunedin local or a Dunedin student? Fancy a wild visit to see giant chicks and tiny penguins? Need transport?

We’re inviting you to take a $15 1-hour guided tour to meet the giant Albatross chicks as part of our Local’s Sunday events! Plus take the chance to see the world's smallest penguins on an evening tour for $15 extra. If you need transport we've our own Tiki bus - return trip from town including albatross tour for $25!

See what visitors rave about and grab the chance to visit the world’s only mainland Royal Albatross breeding colony. 3 of the 29 chicks are on view from our observatory, with the chance of sightings of the other 20+ species that breed here. Taiaroa Head/Pukekura is the jewel of the Wildlife Capital of NZ! A wonderful opportunity to explore your own backyard at an amazing price – don’t be the one to miss out! Did you know the chicks can weigh over 10kg??

Grab the chance while your with us to see the world's smallest penguins as they scurry home at night. Dusk tour for 75 minutes at Blue Penguins Pukekura, an wonderful conservation project which helps penguins flourish.

As part of our Local’s Sunday the on-site café is offering a Sunday roast at a great price and our gift shop is offering 25% off too!
