Each course:
Tuition hours 48
Runs over eight weeks
Three classes per week - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 7 - 9 PM

This course is for students with a minimum of Upper Intermediate level English.
You will be taught the skills and strategies to prepare you for taking the IELTS Academic Examination. Please note: the examination is not offered at Selwyn Community Education. See www.ielts.org for details of examination venues and dates.
Course fees:
For NZ Citizens and permanent migrants (those with residency class visas) the course fee is $130 (including course book). This course is subsidised by the New Zealand Government via the Tertiary Education Commission.
In order to claim this subsidy, a minimum of 80% attendance is required. Please provide proof of residency status by bringing your passport to the office.
For temporary migrants and all others (work visa, guardian visa, student visa etc) the course fee is $450 (including course book).
The fees above include the standard text book. An optional, but recommended text book is Check Your English Vocabulary for IELTS ($30 from the office).
