Rosalie Thomson graduated from Teachers’ College with a Diploma of Teaching, where she majored in Visual Arts, including printmaking. Rosalie spent several years working in water colour before she reconnected with printmaking.
She has worked as an Art Educator for the last 25 years and has taught printmaking at all levels, including first year university students at the Ruawharo Campus in Hawkes Bay. Rosalie has a Bachelor of Education and majored in Visual Art Education.
Over the past 30 years Rosalie has intensively studied and practiced printmaking. She has attended many print workshops, with national and international tutors.
Rosalie exhibits regularly within New Zealand and has also exhibited in England and Australia. She has work in several private overseas collections. Currently Rosalie operates out of her own studio and specialises in solar plate etching.
Rosalie’s images are immensely influenced by the outstanding natural environment of her local area in Havelock North.
