Fireworks Opening Meeting

What a way to kick off the 2019/20 speedway season!

This Labour Weekend, McDonalds Kihikihi Speedway bursts back into life with our annual Waipa Home Of Champions Fireworks Opening Meeting!

Headlining the race entertainment will be a full field of Superstocks, no fewer than 26 of them. Featuring some of the biggest names in speedway, these drivers will compete for the first ever Rosetown Superstock Classic whilst racing for Best Pairs honours over three heats. A forth race, the Schick Civil Dash For Cash will finish off a guaranteed entertaining night of big horsepower race cars.

Also on the bill are the big wheel Super Saloons and Saloon classes, the latter enjoyed full fields all last season and this year is expected to be the same.

Stockcars and Ministocks will attract full fields also, keen drivers ready and willing to scratch their new paint and battle hard for an early season chequered flag.

And let’s not forget that family favourite, in association with Waipa Home Of Champions, the fireworks display extravaganza!
So pack the chilly bin, gather up your kids, bring ya friends & get there early for an action packed night of hi-octane motorsport.
