Join Nelson-based contemporary stitch artist Fleur Woods for a blissful day of florals and creativity. This workshop is designed to explore the beautiful details of flowers through the medium of hand embroidery. During the course of the one day workshop we will explore Fleur's favourite stitches and techniques to express florals on linen with a variety of beautiful threads. This workshop suits all levels of experience. For those who consider themselves beginners we cover a variety of stitches and you are supported to create your mini floral artwork. If you’re an experienced stitcher you would use this workshop as an opportunity to approach your craft using different techniques and approaches to encourage your creativity to flow. The goal is to go home feeling fabulous with a finished mini floral embroidery and your cup overflowing with floral and creative inspiration.
No experience needed. All materials provided. Suitable for ages 12 years and over (12-14 year olds must be accompanied by an adult).
